Some updates on some exciting happeninz!
I was just cast in an Off-Off-Broadway play called "Nightfall by Edgar Allan Poe." Can't wait to get started with rehearsals! Tickets are already on sale: http://www.goldstar.com/events/new-york-ny/nightfall-with-edgar-allan-poe. (I won't be in every performance so message me if you want my performance schedule!)
Yesterday was my last improv 201 class at UCB, and tomorrow (Saturday, 9/13) is our graduation show. It's at 1:15pm at the legendary UCB Chelsea, on 26th and 8th. Tickets are $5 at the door.
This week I was cast as a member of Cherub Improv, an awesome community-service based improv group in NY. So excited to start working with them and to do short-form improv!
I also recently joined my first weekly improv practice group! Our coach is an awesome UCB performer, Andrew Yurman-Glaser.
And last but not least, this week I had orientation for my acting apprenticeship with The Barrow Group acting school. So psyched to get started with class next week!
Thanks for reading! :)
Hello from the set of CBS's "Elementary" where I'll be playing a student today! I had a great time working on Starz's new show "Flesh and Bone" for two days last week, but it's always exciting to be on a new set.
I also just found out that I booked an NYU student film! It will be my first imdb credit, which is pretty exciting. I can't wait for the shoot next week.
And tomorrow, I'm starting Improv 201 at UCB with Brandon Gardner. I'm so psyched to start up again - I've really missed my 101 class.
PS. Thank you to whoever is reading this! :)
I shot as a gala patron on an upcoming Starz TV show "Flesh and Bone" yesterday! Even though it was my longest shoot day so far (15 hours!!) I met a lot of cool people and I love observing the actors and the crew. I've learned so much about working on a set. I'm pretty sure I'll be seen on screen when the show airs!
I'm playing a pedestrian on CBS's "Blue Bloods" today! Hoping to catch a glimpse of Dr. Richard Burke
Today I did extra work for one of my favorite TV shows, Orange is the New Black! It was so much fun and I just love being on set! I was near the cameras a lot so hopefully I'll be seen in a few shots. I'm not allowed to reveal any details but I have a feeling next season is going to be amazing :)
I'm currently on set filming a promo for Sunsilk. Curly hair queen Ouidad and straight hair queen Yuko are here! I just got my first on-set hair and makeup done. I'll be playing Ouidad's hair school student. Woohoo!
Tomorrow night I'll be in Rising Sun Performance Co's monthly reading series for the second time. Last month I was the stage direction reader for all six plays, and tomorrow night I'm playing Alice in "Yog Sothoth" and Maria in "The Wolf." They're two new, really great one-act plays! I'm excited to be working with Rising Sun again. It's at a bar in Williamsburg with discounted dranks for the night and no cover!
Today I had my first improv class at UCB!!! I've been dying to take improv at the famous Upright Citizens Brigade for a while and I can already tell it will exceed my expectations. Class was so awesome today and I can't wait to continue learning improv!
