I got a call today that I was accepted to The Barrow Group's Apprenticeship training program!!! The apprenticeship is from September-September and concludes in a showcase for industry agents. The apprenticeship is just one acting class per week (with several different units) and also involves working in their box office, which I actually love doing. So psyched!
I got a call yesterday to be an extra on the USA show White Collar! The shoot was today, and it was awesome! There was a huge crew and it was really interesting to see the hard work and long hours that go into such short scenes. I should be seen walking up and down the lovely sidewalks on season 6 episode 3 in the fall! But most importantly: Matt Bomer is even more flawless looking in real life than he is on TV and Tim DeKay winked at me.
Yesterday I booked my first professional TV gig, and it films today! I'm going to be an extra on a new show, Taking New York. I know it's just extra work, but you gotta start somewhere. Plus I'm currently on my way to film in an ice cream parlor, so crossies for free ice cream all day.
One of the directors from Rising Sun Performance Company's reading series last week has asked me to be the stage direction reader for a play he is directing this coming Tuesday! The play is called "Life is Mostly Straws" and is being produced by the IATI Theater, a bilingual theater in lower Manhattan. I'm excited to rehearse for it tomorrow!

Tonight I was in Rising Sun Performance Company's monthly reading series. I was the stage direction reader/narrator for all six plays in tonight's event. This was my second production serving as a stage direction reader, and it's surprisingly really fun and rewarding! The first time was at Muhlenberg, and I learned how important this position can be and the specific work that goes into it. It was great to get to work with all six casts and directors on this project
Today I wrapped up my stint on running crew for the off-off-broadway production of "The Understudy" at the Secret Theatre. The show was produced by the Fishbowl Collective, and involved a bunch of Muhlenberg grads. It was my first time running crew in a professional setting and it was awesome!
